This is easily the best thrash album I’ve heard this year. Granted I haven’t exactly heard a lot from a mostly dying genre, but nevertheless Body Bags at least gets more than just a participation trophy. The perfect production job that sounds professional without sounding too clean, and has a near perfect thrash aesthetic to it. The vocals especially are harsh, bordering on death metal sometimes, but not totally over done. I also especially love how there’s just enough soft sections to keep things interesting rather than it just being thrash all the time. However I will say that the riffs here are a bit subpar, with the exception of Fight the Future. While there are soft sections there isn’t really overall enough variety to totally keep me interested. Still a very solid album.
